Enkeruss Livestock Genetics Private Ltd (ELG) is a registered company that is based in Gweru with branches in Chivhu and Masvingo. It is a livestock genetics improvement company that is committed to the production of the best breeds through modern advanced breeding technologies. Embryos and semen of various top breeds are imported and crossed with internationally and locally existing breeds through AI and ET technologies to come up with new, better, high-quality breeds that are suitable for our African climate conditions.
We import various semen of different breeds of livestock to cross with our base livestock (e.g Mashona cattle, Tuli cattle, Santa Gertrudis cattle and Limousine cattle) AI and ET.
ELG sells embryos, sexed semen, and traditional semen obtained from these crosses and pure breeds to farmers in Zimbabwe and globally. For farmers in Zimbabwe, the company will undertake artificial insemination, embryo flushing and embryo transfer to surrogates and recipient cows.
